'Force Majeure'

The transition to a non-material world

Oil on Canvas, Gold Leaf, Shattered Glass
Height: 1520 mm Width: 1222 mm
Deep Edge

Created over a period of a year, the intricate Force Majeure is a piece that can be hung and viewed from all four sides.

This piece was conceived as an extension of the Forests of Life series. Water is an element which is able to effortlessly transition between different states, such as liquid or gas, which can be reminiscent of the transition to a non-material, spiritual world.

The work has been exhibited at the BCI London in South Kensington, London in 2018 and the Flux Exhibition in London that same year.
