Dangerous is a hyper realistic portrait inspired by the name-sake single from Ariana Grande. The piece was created when the Mihov studio relocated to Singapore in 2019. The observation the artist made was that, in the Asian art market, portraiture is most commonly understood in the context of family, power figures or self. Therefore with this piece, Mihov aimed at pushing the boundary of understanding of what could constitute portraiture by combining an unknown face with commentary on the pop culture of the day. The piece was consequently featured in Forbes magazine.
